LEAD Program
CVESD's LEAD program is a free program funded by the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) and After School Education and Safety (ASES). All CVESD schools offer LEAD Clubs and LEAD Hub, formerly the YMCA’s STRETCH and DASH program. The LEAD program is free to transitional kindergarten through sixth grade students who meet program qualifications.
Program Qualifications
Foster youth, unsheltered students living in hotels/motels, temporarily doubled-up or living in shelters, English language learners, and socioeconomically disadvantaged students will receive the highest priority for enrollment in the LEAD programs. After the highest priority students are registered, additional students will be registered on a first-come, first-served basis.
LEAD Clubs
LEAD Clubs offers different enrichment offerings, including language, robotics, music, sports, and more. Students participating in the program learn a new skill and gain the valuable opportunity to interact with peers in a physically and emotionally safe environment.
LEAD Hub
Through the LEAD Hub program, CVESD, in partnership with the Family YMCA, provides free before and after school programs at all district schools. Previously known as YMCA STRETCH and DASH, LEAD Hub aims to create a safe, supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. The program combines recreation, tutoring, and enrichment activities.
How to Enroll
To enroll your student in the LEAD program, they must be a student at the school to which you are applying. A registration application is required for each student. All information provided in the application will be verified. Providing false information may result in disqualification. Please note that applying does not guarantee acceptance into the LEAD program.
Online enrollment for the 2024-25 school year for LEAD Hub is now open, and registration for LEAD Clubs will open at the start of the school year. To register, please use the LEAD programs registration link below.
